The E82 and E90 BMW’s are a firm favourite of ours at MMR Performance as they can handle daily duties and performance driving in equal measure. With the right modifications, the straight-six is capable of producing substantial power, but the additional heat that generates is often enough to overwhelm the standard cooling setup, The MMR Performance intercooler is a direct-fit unit that utilises a super-efficient bar-and-plate core specifically engineered to support maximum performance gains on BMW 335i/335xi/135i and 1M models. The high-flow optimised cast end tanks, combined with the enlarged core volume delivers average intake temperature reductions of around 20ºC and typically adds around 20bhp even when running standard boost pressure.
